Getting Started

Set up your account and create your first gallery

How do I create my first gallery?

After signing up, go to your Dashboard and click "New Album." Give it a name, set the visibility (public, unlisted, or password-protected), then drag and drop your photos to upload. Your gallery will be live at your personal URL within seconds.

What photo formats and sizes are supported?

We accept JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 50 MB each. Photos are automatically processed into multiple sizes: a 400px thumbnail for the gallery grid, a 2048px watermarked preview for the lightbox, and the full-resolution original for downloads after purchase.

How do my clients view and purchase photos?

Share your gallery link with clients. They can browse, favorite, and add photos to their cart. At checkout, they pay via credit card (Stripe) or Vietnamese payment methods (on Pro/Studio plans). After payment, they receive an email with a secure download link.

Manage your galleries, watermarks, and privacy

Can I password-protect a gallery?

Yes. When creating or editing an album, set the visibility to "Password Protected" and enter a password. Visitors will need to enter this password before they can view the photos. You can change or remove the password at any time.

How does watermarking work?

PhotoSell automatically adds a subtle watermark to preview images in the gallery. Watermarks are removed from downloaded files after purchase. On Basic and higher plans, you can customize the watermark with your studio logo.

Can I reorder photos in an album?

Yes. In the album editor, drag and drop photos to arrange them in your preferred order. The new order is saved automatically and reflected immediately in the public gallery.

Payouts and payment methods

How do I receive payouts from photo sales?

Add your Vietnamese bank account in Settings for VietQR transfers, or connect Stripe when available. PhotoSell does not take a percentage of your photo sales—sale totals go to you (payment processors may charge their own fees).

What payment methods can my clients use?

All plans support credit/debit card payments via Stripe. Pro and Studio plans also enable VietQR, Momo, and ZaloPay for Vietnamese customers. Payment methods are automatically shown based on the customer's location.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings > Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Your photos are safe regardless of plan changes.

Privacy, domains, and data protection

How is my data protected?

Your photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations). All connections use HTTPS. Download tokens are time-limited and attempt-limited for secure delivery.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on Pro and Studio plans. Go to Settings > Domain, enter your custom domain, and follow the DNS instructions to point it to our servers. We automatically provision and renew SSL certificates for your domain.
